Mercy Housing, Inc., was established in 1981 to create and strengthen healthy communities through the provision of quality, affordable, program-enriched housing for individuals and families who are economically poor.

Mercy Housing has built and maintains housing for 58,000 people nationwide, many of which are living on the edge of poverty. Thirteen religious communities have invested over $6 million, which has leveraged financing for over $1 billion in quality, affordable housing in 20 states. Mercy Housing also includes programs to enhance the lives of their residents far into the future, such as goal setting, English as a Second Language, after school tutoring, job search, budget workshops, computer training and day care.
